Joanne is the founder and CEO of Creative Medical Devices. She is the creator of one patent-pending solution and one provisional patent, as well as two more innovations designed to solve common problems in patient care. Joanne’s career has included entrepreneur, US Army officer (honorable discharge), and registered nurse. She is able to combine those experiences to imagine and creative workable solutions to the problems she sees. She has effectively combined her background skills and expertise to imagine and create workable solutions to seemingly unsolvable problems.
Her leadership style enables her to work with others, both inside and outside Creative Medical Devices, in a collaborative, productive, and efficient manner.
Joanne is a retired RN. She worked as a trauma nurse for many years in a variety of emergency departments and became an operating room circulator shortly before retiring. She was qualified in ACLS, PALS, NALS and took extended courses in EKG monitoring and advanced IV therapy. Throughout her time as an RN, she always maintained a patient-first approach to ensure the highest possible care for her patients.
Joanne has a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Colorado. She has numerous certifications from her time in the military. She received her RN after she left the military. Joanne has donated her time and money to “Children of The Nations,” a medical mission surgical team to care for pediatric patients in third world countries. She also enjoys golf, yoga, body-building, and cycling. Joanne resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, Ray. She has two sons, a step-daughter, and four grandchildren.
As a Strategic Advisor, Brian provides guidance in the areas of business, financial and operations strategy. Brian is a business and program leader with more than 20 years of experience working in the Technology and Software Industries. He has helped shape consumer and professional software products from inception to realized product. Brian has experience working with and leading international and geo-distributed teams. He spent three months in Warsaw, Poland to help a team there improve their processes and coordination with US-based technology companies.
Brian has an BA in English Literature from the University of Washington and a MBA from Western Governors University. He resides outside Bellevue, Washington with his wife, Elda.
As a Strategic Advisor, Jill supports the Creative Medical Devices team with expertise in biostatistics and medical research, as well as possessing extensive experience in the medical field. Jill worked as a LMT for nearly fifteen years and specialized in sports, infant, relaxation, and pregnancy massage. During that time, she also treated cancer patients and the elderly in long-term care facilities to improve their quality of life. Jill has volunteered countless hours on behalf of the US military and worked for six months at a domestic violence shelter in Dayton, Ohio.
She completed two years toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY but was forced to withdraw from the program due to illness. She’s currently pursuing a Master of Public Health through Purdue University. Jill earned a LMT from Seattle Massage School and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, where she earned both Phi Theta Kappa and the Golden Key membership. She lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband, Andrew, and their two daughters.
As a Strategic Advisor, Andrew lends his extensive knowledge of science and leadership to help guide and advise the Creative Medical Devices team. Andrew has nearly twenty years of experience as an officer in the US military, during which time he served in a variety of staff and leadership positions, including two combat deployments to Iraq, and managed millions of dollars in government programs and equipment. For the past ten years, Andrew has pursued research in the field of nuclear science, and he’s currently completing his PhD in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His primary areas of research include improving radiation shielding and investigating novel materials for radiography. Andrew has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed journal articles and spoken at several scientific conferences (IEEE NSS-MIC, INMM, HEART).
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. Andrew lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife, Jill, and their two daughters.
